Stairs and especially the steps are highly stressed components. The wood surface is therefore coated with varnish, oil or wax. The coating is usually applied in several layers and can be done by hand in a spray booth or by machine.
For the mechanical coating of stair parts, spraying in a spraying machine, flooding in a flooding system or rolling in a roller coater is possible.
Every coating, whether lacquer, oil or wax, must dry after application. Drying racks or trolleys make it possible to store and move the parts during the drying process in a space-saving manner. Drying systems or ovens, in which the parts are dried in a continuous flow with hot air, infrared or UV radiation, offer considerable time savings.
