After its completion in production, the floor is transported, stored and stacked several times on its way to installation. Protective packaging is therefore absolutely essential.
Solid floorboards or decks are stacked and then protected with cardboard either completely or only at the ends. The package is then shrink-wrapped.
As solid parquet blocks are only sanded and surface-treated after installation, the packaging is often not very complex. Usually the blocks are strapped or receive a shrink-wrap. Cardboard packaging is less common.
If the mosaic parquet is sanded and surface-treated after installation, the packaging can be very simple. If the surface is already finished, it is usually protected by cardboard packaging.
A high-quality product such as multi-layer parquet, which has a sensitive surface, will always receive secure packaging. Cardboard packaging and shrink films and/or strapping are often used.
Combinations of several machines are used to package laminate flooring. The process comprises the steps of folding the cardboard - inserting the floorboards - inserting the label - shrink-wrapping.
After packaging, the packages are stacked on pallets. The stacking can be done manually or with a stacking machine or robot.
