In the production of three-layer parquet, individual lamellas are first glued together to form top layers. For this purpose, the lamellas are coated with glue both on the sides and on the front and then pressed together. The press usually works three-dimensionally. The result is a top layer with a width of three lamellas with a ship floor pattern.
The top layers are very sensitive and break easily. They are joined to the other layers in further work steps to form stable floor elements.
