The lacquered fronts must be cured before further processing. The lacquer must harden to avoid changes in gloss or even damage during further processing. Insufficiently hardened lacquer would also clog the sanding belts during subsequent sanding.
The curing time varies depending on the lacquer system. Curing can be accelerated by applying heat. UV lacquers cure after a short time by exposure to UV light.
