The individual components, which are machined to size and finished on the narrow surfaces, are first drilled holes to accommodate the intended fasteners, fittings, handles, etc. Then several parts are assembled together with the fasteners (e.g. dowels) to form the finished carcase furniture, glued if necessary and fitted with the intended handles, fittings, etc. The necessary processing steps result, as in the case of part processing, from the identity of the parts (barcode), which is read in before processing begins.
The choice of machines for this production step depends primarily on the desired joining technology for the parts of the carcase (glued / glueless).
