About us
VDMA Services GmbH is a company of VDMA (German Engineering Federation), Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Within the VDMA, the woodworking section is responsible for processing-wood.com (German Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers' Association).
The German woodworking machinery industry employs a total of around 12,000 people. Industry sales amount to around 3.2 billion euros; this corresponds to a world market share of around 27 %.
The professional association represents the interests of its member companies at national and international level. Among other things, the range of activities includes:
- public relations
- statistical surveys and polls
- distribution of information about the member companies of the association and their products
- organization of international trade fairs such as LIGNA and HOLZ-HANDWERK
- standardization work at national and European level
